Ahn Jeong-eun manga
Saotome Institute, which is the center of Getter Ray study, was attacked by a mysterious monster. That figure was a huge "Oni", which is a legendary monster. They fought with a prototype Getter Robo against it. However, they noticed a big fault. Manipulating Getter Robo was a burden to the pilot, and the normal person couldn’t stand it. To provide for the next attack, they had to look for the candidates for the pilots.
These are different stories involving Devilman's world. Some are about Devilman and add to the mythology some are separate stories that don't involve Devilman but take place the same time as the events in the original Devilman manga. They are illustrated by various artists. There are some color pages in the start middle and toward the end. There are some truly amazing art and stories in these volumes. Number two is written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki, Noriko Nagano, Go Nagai, Akihiko Takadera and Kazuko Yumeno. Number three is written and illustrated by Noburu Miyama, Miki Toro, Shinobu Kaze, Sho-u Tajima, Masaomi Kanzaki, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko and Iou Kuroda.
A secret society of scientists seek to create advanced humanoid lifeforms through the hybrid of man and beast for their almighty Lord Yeshu and the new world that is nigh. When young Shin'ichi Kuruma is pulled into this inhuman pursuit and loses everything, his path of bloody vengence leads him into the depths of a conspiracy greater than he could ever imagine. From Ken Ishikawa, creator of Getter Robo and Kyomu Senki, is a tale of biblic myth, violent patricide and monstrous demonbeasts. This is Majuu Sensen: The Demonbeast Battlefront!
Kyomu Senki (The Void Chronicles) can be considered a sister manga series to Getter Robo Saga in that each is a compilation of a number of Ken Ishikawa's series that fit into the same continuity. Kyomu Senki includes Kyomu Senshi Miroku, Skull Killer Jakioh (along with its direct sequel Jakioh Bakuretsu), Tiger of 5,000 Light Years and a few others. This edition is the 2002 Futabasha 5-volume compilation (the most recent printing of Kyomu Senki so far and the last before Ken Ishikawa's unfortunate death). The first chapter features a lot of Buddhist mantras which we have left in their original form. The few of them that had a Japanese translation we have also translated into English.
[From OneManga] Latest Arc/Saga in the Getta Robo series An old Hayato (the original Getter 2 pilot) leads the Saotome Research Facility, which has developed the Getter Robo Hien to combat a new force which threatens the Earth: large plantlike monsters.
Sixteen years after the completion of Getter Robo, Ken Ishikawa revived the series with Getter Robo Go. This series, and all after until Ishikawa's death, are done without Go Nagai(he is still credited as original creator). Years after the events of Getter Robo/Shin Getter Robo, Hayato Jin is the leader of NISAR; a private owned research and weapons development organization based in Japan. He, and Professor Tachibana, have been developing various weapons and building up their forces to deal with a threat that started fifteen years ago: the mad scientist Rando. When Rando's forces begin their terrorist operations around the world, NISAR begins its search for exceptional soldiers to pilot their super weapon, the Getter Robo.
Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin, and Prof. Saotome pilot three specially designed combat jets, which can be combined together in different forms to form three different kinds of giant robots, Getter-1 (used for aerial combat), Getter-2 (for land-based conflicts), and Getter-3 (for undersea battles). They were assembled by Prof. Saotome and became Earth's first line of defense against the Dinosaur Empire, which is a civilization of reptile-like humanoids, who evolved from the now-extinct dinosaurs that roamed the earth millions of years ago. The series was groundbreaking in the anime mecha genre: for the very first time, it introduced the concept of separate machines combining to form a super robot. Using three jets, Getter Robo could combine in three different ways to create three different versions of Getter Robo for different conditions and situations. This idea was originally discussed during the creation process for Mazinger Z (the first super robot to be piloted internally), but was dropped and then developed for Getter Robo. This combination idea proved to be a very powerful concept that has been used in the super robot genre ever since. (taken from Wikipedia)
